Job summary

ITCAN PTE. LIMITED is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead data science initiatives by designing and deploying AI/ML solutions, including Generative AI and LLMs, to enhance customer engagement and business outcomes.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and mentor junior data scientists. You will design production‑grade models for intelligent decisioning across customer journeys, integrate models into decision engines with governance and monitoring, and communicate insights to stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead data science projects by partnering with Marketing, Product, and external stakeholders to define problem statements and architect end‑to‑end AI/ML solutions, including Generative AI and LLMs.
• Design, build, and productionize analytical models for intelligent decisioning within customer journeys, integrating models into decision engines with governance, scalability, and performance monitoring.
• Analyze customer behavior across Mobile, Broadband, and entertainment services to generate actionable insights on lifecycle, segmentation, and targeting strategies.
• Drive data exploration, experimentation, and optimization through A/B testing, uplift modelling, and campaign analytics to improve customer engagement and retention.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior data scientists, ensuring high standards in code quality and best practices.
• Communicate complex analytical insights clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Independently select technical approaches, methodologies, and prioritize analytical use cases to align with business goals.
• Propose proof‑of‑concepts for emerging technologies such as Generative AI and LLMs.
• Escalate decisions involving major production changes, compliance, or security implications to higher authority.

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in telecom or insurance analytics.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ML lifecycle tools (MLflow, Airflow).
