Job summary

Tencent invites undergraduates and graduates to join WXG in Singapore as part of our data teams. You will analyze large datasets to identify business opportunities, build data dashboards, and develop scalable data pipelines to support platform operations.

You will collaborate on ML and multimodal AI initiatives, contribute to risk modeling and safety strategies, and communicate insights to cross‑functional teams in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

Business Unit

WeiXin Group(WXG) is responsible for the construction and operation of the Weixin ecosystem and leveraging Weixin's open platforms such as Official Accounts, Mini Programs, Weixin Pay, WeCom and search function. WXG provides solutions and connectivity for intelligent upgrades across all industries. WXG is also responsible for the development and operation of QQ Mail, WeRead and other products.

What the Role Entails

• Analyze large datasets to identify business opportunities and optimize product performance.


• Develop data dashboards and visualization tools to track key performance metrics and provide actionable product insights.


• Assist in building scalable data pipelines to support WeChat's operational needs and enhance platform security.


• Support high-impact machine learning and multimodal AI initiatives that strengthen WeChat's core product experience.


• Contribute to risk modeling and safety strategies that safeguard users and protect WeChat's platform integrity.

Who We Look For

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.


• Proficiency in SQL and Python (knowledge of C/C++/Go is a plus).


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.


• Strong sense of ownership, customer-oriented mindset, and integrity.


• Fast learner and effective team player with excellent communication skills.


• Prior internship or work experience in the tech or internet industry is preferred.


• Require bilingual proficiency as communications and materials are regularly shared in both English and Mandarin with the global and China HQ teams.
