Job summary

Udacity is seeking an External Contractor - Mentor for the Data Product Manager track. You will provide online technical support, host weekly live sessions, and assist learners with course material. Fluency in English and 7+ years of experience or a master’s degree are required.

Remote, part‑time role with flexible scheduling and international student community involvement. Graduate from a Udacity Nanodegree is a plus; teaching or public speaking experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Fluent written and spoken English are required.
• Mentors must have 7+ years of industry experience or a master’s degree.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, data wrangling, visualization, and product KPIs.
• Experience with data pipelines, modeling, and storage concepts.
• Familiarity with experiment design (A/B and multivariate) and statistical inference.
• Knowledge of product management frameworks (RICE, iterative design).
• Basic SQL knowledge is expected.
• Graduate from a Udacity Nanodegree is a plus.
• Experience teaching or public speaking is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for students in an online community forum.
• Answer questions and facilitate content for learners who get stuck.
• Host one weekly live virtual session for real‑time student support.
• Escalate issues to Mentor Operations when needed.
