Job summary

Moët Hennessy Singapore invites applications for a 6-month data privacy intern role to support the Global DPO in APAC. The intern will help implement and maintain the data protection program and ensure compliance with applicable laws, gaining hands-on experience in data privacy and protection.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or recently completed a degree in law or related fields, with strong research, writing, and communication skills, familiarity with privacy principles, and competency in MS

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor or Master Degree in Law, Political Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in data privacy and protection.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experiences with the use of data privacy compliance modules on OneTrust is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Global DPO in APAC to monitor compliance with data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR and APAC privacy regulations.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of the company’s data protection and governance framework and programs, including policies, data breach management, and training.
• Administrate the PIA review process for regulatory compliance, including tracking progress and risk assessments.
• Organize routine training sessions on data protection laws and processing obligations.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to gain valuable insights into our industry and business operations, applying your academic knowledge and developing new skills to assist our Global Data Privacy Officer (DPO) in the APAC region, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the rapidly evolving field of data privacy and protection. The intern will support the implementation and maintenance of our data protection program, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. We are looking for a 6-month intern who can commit to a part-time schedule, starting October 2026.

Job responsibilities

How you will contribute…

• Assist the Global DPO in APAC to monitor compliance with relevant data protection laws and regulations, including but not limited to GDPR, and the privacy regulations within the APAC jurisdictions.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of the company’s data protection & governance framework and programs, including privacy policies, data breach management procedures, ROPA (Records of Processing Activities), and internal training programs for employees.
• Administrate the PIA (Privacy Impact Assessments) review process for regulatory compliance, including tracking progress, gathering documentation, and assisting with risk assessments.
• Organize routine training sessions for specific business groups and/or new joiners on data protection laws, regulations guidelines, and data processing contractual and consent obligation requirements. This may include preparation of the training materials and tracking trainees attendance.
• Handle customer data privacy related inquires and requests, working with various internal teams on opt out, data access, correction, and deletion requests.
• Conduct research on emerging data privacy laws and regulations and provide summaries to the Global DPO.
• Assist with the annual review of the data privacy and protection internal control processes.
• Support privacy committee duties, including preparing meeting agendas and minutes.
