Job summary
GovTech Singapore is hiring a Software Engineer to help build and operate data platforms for Singapore’s public sector. You will contribute to standardized data delivery, secure access, and scalable services that power policy making, service delivery, and operations across government agencies.
You will work across the Standardised Data Platform, DataHive frontend, and Observability/Governance infra, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust, reusable components and APIs.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with DevOps automation, containerization and orchestration.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and data tooling.
- Hands-on scripting in multiple languages and knowledge of big data tech.
- Experience with distributed systems and data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain standardised data platform infrastructure for government agencies.
- Develop APIs and services to standardise data ingestion, processing and storage.
- Create reusable components and templates for agency data platform implementation.
- Implement data connectors and integration tools for legacy systems.
- Develop the central data discovery and access platform (DataHive).
- Design authentication and authorization systems for secure data access.
- Build and maintain observability and governance infrastructure for data pipelines.
