Job summary

The role offers hourly pay with a $30 afternoon shift allowance and a pathway to permanent conversion after 3–6 months. Responsibilities include handling data servers, IT equipment and network cabling, assisting with installations and repairs, performing checks and following safety procedures in a busy, air-conditioned workplace during rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Nitec or IT-related certificate preferred.
• Basic knowledge of IT equipment, hardware or software.
• Willing to learn and undergo on-the-job training.
• Comfortable handling and moving IT equipment.
• Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
• Responsible, hands-on and willing to work in a technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical and technical tasks involving data servers, IT equipment, cables and network components.
• Assist technicians with installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of servers, network equipment and cabling.
• Move, install and rack equipment according to operational requirements.
• Assist with server repairs, including replacing faulty hard drives, RAM sticks and other components.
• Use hardware and software tools to support technical operations.
• Perform equipment checks and assist with maintenance activities.
• Follow technical procedures and safety guidelines.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
