Job summary

Bank of Singapore is seeking a seasoned Data Governance Data Scientist to transform governance activities using automation and AI agents. You will operationalise governance over Critical Reports and CDEs, monitor data quality, and partner with stakeholders to embed governance into BAU processes.

The role also focuses on building an enterprise ontology to support semantic data discovery and future AI use cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Business Analytics or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in data governance, data management, process automation, AI solutions or related areas, preferably in financial services.
• Strong understanding of data governance: quality, metadata, ownership, data lineage, controls and issue management.
• Hands-on workflow automation and AI/agent development to design, build, deploy and monitor automated workflows.
• Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms; Power Platform and Copilot Studio advantageous.
• Knowledge of ontology, knowledge graphs, semantic modelling; ability to map concepts across data/processes/systems.

Responsibilities

• Operationalise and expand data governance across Critical Reports, CDEs and key business processes.
• Manage data quality monitoring, issue management and reporting to management committees.
• Drive periodic reviews of Critical Reports, CDEs, definitions, ownership, and metadata.
• Identify and automate manual data governance workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Design, build, deploy and manage AI agents to execute and monitor governance workflows with controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Bank functions to embed governance into BAU processes.
• Pioneer enterprise ontology by defining concepts, relationships and semantic standards.
