Job summary

OCBC Bank is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to join the Group Information Security & Digital Risk Management team in Singapore. You will build secure, reliable data pipelines and data products to deliver actionable risk insights across the group, translating business needs into robust, production-grade solutions.

The role requires 6+ years of data engineering experience with SQL, Python, Spark, Hadoop and DBT-like transformation approaches.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Experience in risk management and project management will be advantageous.
• Strong SQL, Python, Spark, Hadoop and data modelling skills.
• Hands-on experience with real-time data and streaming (Kafka).
• Talend for data integration and automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and near-real-time data ingestion, transformation and delivery.
• Apply SQL, Python, Spark, Hadoop and data modelling to solve risk analytics problems.
• Use orchestration and monitoring tools to ensure pipeline reliability and resilience.
• Collaborate with risk, business, technology, and platform teams across requirements and deployment.
• Translate requirements into robust data engineering solutions and deliver production-grade data products.
