Job summary

OCBC Group invites undergraduates or recent graduates to join Group Operations & Technology as a Data Engineering Intern in Enterprise Data Management, January–May 2026. The hybrid role in Singapore provides hands-on work with data pipelines, automation, and AI-enabled solutions in a banking context.

You will work with engineers and business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop data solutions, ensure data quality, and learn about cloud platforms, ETL, Python, and SQL in a real-world

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed an Undergraduate/Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in data engineering, data analytics, automation, and AI.
• Basic understanding of databases, data modelling, and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, or other data processing tools.
• Exposure to cloud platforms or AI/ML concepts would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and data quality.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies and business domains.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise data engineering initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, and innovation.
• Assist in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of data pipelines and data platforms.
• Support data preparation, integration, and validation activities to ensure data quality and reliability.
• Contribute to data analysis and reporting to support business and technology decision-making.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Support the exploration and implementation of AI-driven solutions to address business challenges.
• Collaborate with technology and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into data solutions.
• Participate in testing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide support on other projects and tasks as assigned.
