Job summary

Strides Digital in Singapore offers a Data Engineering & AI Intern role. You will work with data scientists, data engineers, software engineers and stakeholders to design, build, and deploy AI-powered data solutions addressing real-world challenges.

You will gain hands-on experience developing data pipelines, managing data platforms, and building ML solutions to support operational excellence and business innovation in a fast-paced tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or postgraduate degree in AI, data eng, data science or related fields.
• Strong foundation in Python and data science libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
• Understanding of ML concepts (supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation).
• Familiarity with LLMs, generative AI concepts, and prompt engineering.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases for large datasets.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data warehousing, and data modelling.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Airflow or Azure Data Factory is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of Git and software development best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good communication.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, passionate about AI and data engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform data exploration, cleaning, feature engineering, and model evaluation on structured/unstructured data.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines and workflows for AI model development and analytics.
• Assist in designing and optimizing scalable data pipelines and data models for analytics and ML applications.
• Support the development of ML and AI models for transportation-related use cases.
• Assist in building AI pipelines, dashboards, and data products to deliver actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into AI solutions.
• Participate in POCs and pilots, and support production deployment where applicable.
• Research new techniques, tools, and algorithms to enhance the team's capabilities.
• Organize and manage data repositories, document data sources, methodologies, and findings, and ensure data security and privacy.
