Job summary

Temasek Holdings, a global investment company based in Singapore, offers a Data Engineer Intern role within the Technology department. You will support building data foundations to enable AI solutions, working with data engineers and AI engineers on data across structured and unstructured sources.

You will gain hands-on experience in data pipelines, data quality initiatives, and dashboards, while learning how high‑quality data supports AI-ready solutions in a global investment setting.

Qualifications

• Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Data processing experience in SQL; knowledge of database principles.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
• Experience with big data frameworks like Spark or Airflow is desirable.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and git workflows is a plus.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Qlik is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using cloud and big data technologies under guidance.
• Monitor, schedule, and troubleshoot data processing jobs in cloud environments.
• Test, deploy, and validate data applications to ensure data quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to develop dashboards and reports for decision-making.
• Support data quality, documentation, and process improvement to make data AI-ready.
• Work with structured and unstructured data to gain hands-on data engineering experience.
• Participate in team discussions and knowledge-sharing to adopt best practices in data and AI.
