Job summary

Fullerton Health is seeking a Data Engineer Intern to join its Data & AI team in Singapore. You will own real deliverables—building data pipelines and datasets that feed AI models—while being mentored by senior engineers.

You’ll work on live systems, integrating data from multiple sources and applying modern data engineering practices within a leading APAC healthcare AI environment. You will gain hands-on experience with Azure data services, data quality checks, and analytics-focused data

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL through coursework or internships.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and data modeling.
• Familiarity with Git and software engineering practices.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal English communication; ability to collaborate across Singapore, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Help integrate data from multiple sources (Claims, Member Data, Finance, APIs, Applications, CMS).
• Write and optimize SQL queries and assist data modeling for analytics and AI use cases.
• Work hands-on with Azure Data Services (Blob Storage, Data Lake, Azure SQL, Data Factory).
• Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and logging mechanisms.
• Prepare and clean structured and semi-structured datasets to support AI model development.
• Assist in building dashboards and reports for operations monitoring.
• Document pipelines, data flows, and technical decisions.
