Job summary

Allegis Group Singapore Private Limited is seeking a Data Engineer to join a high-performing enterprise data team responsible for data ingestion capabilities across a large-scale data platform. You will design, develop, and support data ingestion pipelines and backend services using Python, with production support and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on Python for data engineering and pipeline development.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets.
Proficiency with Snowflake, including data ingestion, querying, and warehouse operations.
Experience with Databricks (basic to intermediate).
Experience integrating with REST APIs or external data sources.
Exposure to Java or Java-based integration services.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and enhance data ingestion pipelines.
Ingest and process data from external providers and internal sources into data platforms.
Design and develop scalable Python backend services supporting data systems.
Support BAU operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Build enhancements to existing data engineering solutions and platform improvements.
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Database, Network, and Data Steward teams for reliable data delivery.
Participate in testing, deployment activities, and monthly/quarterly releases.
