Job summary

Allegis Group Singapore Pte Ltd is hiring a Data Engineer to build and support production-grade data ingestion pipelines powering large-scale platforms. You will develop Python backend services and collaborate across Infrastructure, Database, and Data Steward teams to ensure reliable data delivery.

The role emphasizes hands-on data engineering with Snowflake, SQL, and Databricks, plus proactive production support and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Python for data engineering and pipeline development.
• Strong foundation in Python backend engineering.
• Proficiency with Snowflake, including data ingestion, querying, schema management, and DW operations.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale datasets.
• Working knowledge of Databricks (basic to intermediate).
• Experience supporting production data platforms and troubleshooting operational issues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance data ingestion pipelines for ongoing operations.
• Ingest and process data from external providers and internal sources into enterprise data platforms.
• Design and develop scalable Python backend services powering data systems and workflows.
• Support BAU operations: monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and incident resolution.
• Build enhancements to existing data engineering solutions and drive platform improvements.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Database, Network, and Data Steward teams for reliable data delivery.
• Support testing, deployment activities, and ensure stability across releases.
• Participate in after-hours support for critical incidents when required.
