Job summary

Sofina is seeking a Data Engineer to join our IT team in Singapore. You will design data stacks, build AI-enabled workflows, and develop applications that support sourcing, evaluation, and management of investments.

This is a hands-on role spanning data engineering, backend, and practical frontend work. You will own the data platform architecture, collaborate with security on exposing enterprise knowledge to LLMs, and drive the data and AI roadmap with business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of data engineering and/or software engineering experience.
• Experience leading teams or mentoring others.
• Strong written and spoken English with interest in investment and applied AI.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of our data platform architecture and drive evolution.
• Define secure exposure of enterprise knowledge to LLMs, agents, and internal apps.
• Own the data & AI roadmap with business stakeholders.
• Contribute to engineering standards via code reviews and documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for real-time and batch data.
• Transform unstructured content into structured representations for search and analysis.
• Prototype data and AI products, gather feedback, and deliver production-grade tools.
