Job summary

PwC Southeast Asia Consulting is seeking an Associate in our Advisory Technology Strategy practice. You will develop ETL strategy and logic, map analytics data, and design data models to support advanced analytics initiatives.

You will drive collaboration with client teams to deliver robust ETL solutions and ensure QA across the data pipeline. The role requires 3–5 years on Databricks, strong SQL (including stored procedures and T-SQL), and experience with cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent).
• Proficiency with Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.
• 3–5 years of development experience on Databricks; strong SQL and ability to write Stored Procedures, SSIS, T-SQL from scratch.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight timelines with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of TDD and testing/automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is advantageous.
• Experience with cloud platforms and configuration; programming in Python, C#, PowerShell.
• Experience designing/building data visualization dashboards; consulting background a plus.
• Team management experience considered for Team Lead role.

Responsibilities

• Develop ETL strategy and ETL logic.
• Analyze analytics use cases to determine data mapping requirements.
• Develop data models from conceptual to physical levels.
• Lead discussions with client project teams to define outputs for ETL development.
• Create unit, integration, and user acceptance test scripts.
• QA ETL outputs produced by teammates; optimize ETL logic.
• Test and validate data during UAT; fix ETL code and regression issues.
