Job summary

JLL is seeking to appoint a Data Centre Operations Manager in Singapore to lead site operations and maintenance for a critical facility. You will manage technicians, coordinate with the engineering team, and oversee contractors to ensure uptime and compliance with client and JLL standards.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical or electrical engineering background with 3+ years in Tier III data centres or similar facilities, strong analytical and communication skills, and relevant DC certifications.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in mechanical, electrical or operational engineering.
• At least 3 years’ experience operating electrical and mechanical services in Tier III or equivalent data centre or critical facility.
• Resourceful, analytical and problem-solving skill.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders and vendor staff.
• Possess relevant DC certifications.
• Understands continuous improvement initiatives, client relationships and report preparation.

Responsibilities

• Manage the site operations, including hiring, motivation, development, training and discipline of site operation technicians and maintenance teams.
• Monitor KPI and uptime requirements.
• Support site reviews, including maintenance standards, equipment replacement, security, change control, single points of failure, Tier adherence and operational risk.
• Ensure delivery of planned and reactive activities using the CMMS within financial targets.
• Perform tasks as directed by the Data Centre Operations Manager and Client Critical Facilities Manager.
• Support advisory on facilities engineering matters for client facilities.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure work quality and compliance with specifications and ordinances.
• Monitor contractor performance against budget and contract.
• Lead meetings with contractors and vendors to establish standards and corrective actions.
• Support daily cadence meetings, monthly operation meetings and quarterly business reviews with the client.
• Ensure maintenance documentation meets standards and asset management requirements.
• Assist with statutory compliance/certifications for the site.
• Maintain asset information in CMMS and ensure proper change updates.
• Ensure incident management and escalation align with Client/JLL procedures.
