Job summary

ASEANet Manpower Consulting is assisting a client to hire skilled technicians for data centre wiring and network cabling in Singapore. The role involves installing, routing and terminating Cat5e/Cat6 and fibre, setting up patch panels and server racks, and keeping a tidy, safe work area.

You should have an ITE or Diploma in Engineering or related field, 2-3 years of data centre experience, and familiarity with cable testers and crimping tools; CompTIA Network+ is preferred.

Qualifications

• ITE/Diploma in Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, IT, Telecommunications or related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant data centre experience.
• CompTIA Network+ certification is preferred.
• Familiar with cable testers, crimping tools and other network cabling tools.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, route and terminate network cables such as Cat5e, Cat6 and fibre.
• Install patch panels, server racks and communication equipment.
• Perform cable labelling, testing and tracing.
• Assist with cable tray installation, drilling and site preparation.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintain a clean work area.
