Job summary

ASEANet Manpower Consulting Pte Ltd is assisting a client to hire a data centre cabling technician. The role focuses on installing, testing, and documenting structured cabling including Cat5e, Cat6 and fibre optics, in dynamic projects.

You will work with technicians to ensure safety, accuracy, and timely completion, while maintaining installation records. Candidates should have a Diploma or ITE in engineering or IT and 2–3 years in data centres.

Qualifications

• ITE or Diploma in Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, IT, Telecommunications or related fields.
• 2–3 years of experience in a data centre environment.
• Experience with Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a and fibre optics; basic TCP/IP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test and label structured cabling including UTP and fibre optics.
• Perform cable testing, troubleshooting and fault rectification.
• Conduct site surveys and determine suitable cabling routes.
• Maintain accurate installation and maintenance records.
• Follow safety procedures and industry cabling standards.
• Work closely with technicians and project teams to complete projects on schedule.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and common networking equipment/testing tools.
• Experience with cable management and small to medium network projects.
