Job summary

VSTECS (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Data Center Hardware Technician to support VPC activities.

You will handle physical installation and maintenance of server, storage, and networking hardware in our Singapore data center, coordinating with facilities and vendors for roll-ins/roll-outs. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, clear vendor communication, and the ability to work across teams in a large DC environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with server hardware, SAN storage and networking components.
• Technical know-how of server components such as HDD, CPU and RAM.
• Ability to communicate technical terms clearly with vendors’ engineers.
• Ability to work across multiple teams and multitask effectively.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving mindset.
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills.
• Familiarity with large data center facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional services to support VPC activities in the DataCenter.
• Manage the physical setup/maintenance for Banks Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) Infra; ensure hardware is mounted per design.
• Coordinate with data centre facility on hardware roll-in/roll-out and vendor access.
• Plan, schedule and liaise with OEM vendors on installation, configuration, testing and break-fix for hardware.
• Conduct 1st level investigation into hardware or connectivity issues.
• Provide physical hands-on support for all server hardware (power-cycle, reboot, etc.).

• 2. Manage the physical setup/maintenance for Banks Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) Infra
  Ensure all hardware for server, storage, network and storage are mounted as per our design
• 3. Co-ordinate with data centre facility on the roll in, roll out of hardware, vendor access
• 4. Plan / Schedule and work closely with OEM vendors on physical installation, configuration, testing and break-fix for hardware
• 5. Provide 1st Level investigation into hardware or connectivity issues
• 6. Provide physical hands-on support for all server hardware, e.g. power-cycle or reboot

Requirements

• 1. Knowledge on server hardware, SAN storage and networking components (routers & switches)
