Job summary

Teamlease Digital Private Limited seeks an experienced Data Centre Design & Infrastructure Strategy Engineer to lead design, expansion, modernization, and capacity planning across multiple sites. You will define infrastructure standards, assess capacity needs, and develop investment cases for senior stakeholders.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in data centre physical infrastructure, power, cooling, space planning, cabling, and network architecture, plus vendor management and budgeting

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Centre Design, Data Centre Engineering, Infrastructure Planning, or related field.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of data centre physical infrastructure including UPS/power systems, PDU, cooling, racks, cabling, containment, and space planning.
• Good understanding of data centre network architecture, Spine-Leaf and Pod architectures, and capacity planning.
• Experience building budgets, cost estimates, and investment proposals; vendor evaluation and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain data centre infrastructure standards covering power, cooling, racks, cabling, containment, and physical infrastructure.
• Lead data centre site assessments, capacity planning, infrastructure assessments, and optimization initiatives.
• Assess current and future requirements for power, cooling, rack space, connectivity, and physical infrastructure capacity.
• Develop costed expansion options, investment proposals, budgets, and business cases for data centre projects.
• Review data centre infrastructure and network architecture designs to ensure scalability, resilience, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Provide technical input into new data centre builds, expansions, migrations, modernization, and consolidation initiatives.
• Evaluate infrastructure requirements across multiple data centre sites and develop long-term capacity and modernization strategies.
