Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Singapore seeks a Data Center Operation Technician to support day-to-day data centre activities. You will troubleshoot, coordinate with vendors, and report to the Data Center Operation Site Lead to ensure uptime and reliability of critical facilities.

The role requires a Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent and data centre experience. You will work on-site in Singapore, coordinating with the team to manage incidents, maintenance, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent required.
• Data Centre Certification (e.g., Certified Data Centre Professional) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in Data Centre Operations or Facilities Monitoring & Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of contractors or vendors and support daily data centre operations.
• Perform data centre operations and inspections for infrastructure and DC environment.
• Monitor critical facilities and infrastructure system alerts and escalate as needed.
• Manage incident handling and escalation for facilities downtime.
• Administer service desk operations and ensure safe on-site practices.
• Liaise with business units on utilities, building services, and systems issues.
• Assist planning and execution of disaster recovery activities.
• Maintain building records, licenses, permits, and CMMS documentation.
• Ensure SLAs and procedures are followed for service delivery.

PositionSummary/Overview:

TheDataCenterOperationtechnicianhasoverallresponsibilitytosupportthetroubleshootingandcoordinating activities pertaining to the day-to-day support of the data centers and critical facilities.He/She is responsible for troubleshooting, managing the vendors/contractors and report to the Data Center Operation Site Lead.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure procedures, processes and service level are being followed for any service delivery andoperations

• PrepareandupdateofDataCentreandServiceDeskmonthlyreport
• Maintain the site asset database, provide updates in accordance with CMMS requirements.

Education & Experience:

• PossessaDiplomainComputerScienceorequivalent
• PossessDataCentreCertificationssuchasCertifiedDataCentreProfessional
• Possessatleast3years’experienceinDataCentreOperations,FacilitiesMonitoring&Management
• Familiar with Data Centre facilities including Computer Room Air-Con (CRAC), fire suppression system, water detection system, Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) and etc
• FamiliarwithServiceDeskoperationsandincidentmanagementprocess
• BasicunderstandingontheoperationofMEPsystems
• Resourceful,analyticalandproblemsolvingskill
• Goodcommunicationsandinterpersonalskills
