Job summary

ASTREYA ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LIMITED seeks a System Administrator to support and maintain large-scale data center systems for building management and security.

You will handle ticket-based tasks, OS installations, server maintenance, lifecycle management, and cross-team collaboration to ensure reliable infrastructure. Required: Bachelor's in CS or related field, Linux proficiency, Bash/Python scripting, and automation tools such as Ansible, IPMI, and PXE boot.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in CS or related field as required.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong learning ability.
• Good English; Mandarin preferred; team player; able to work independently.
• Knowledge of Data Center interdependent functions and technologies.
• Familiar with basic data analytics skills.
• Experience with remote OS installations (PXE boot).
• Can run Bash/Python scripts and use automation tools like Ansible.
• Familiar with Linux systems, hardware fault localization.
• Basic TCP/IP concepts and general troubleshooting.
• Awareness of IPMI and NCSI for out-of-band management.
• Strong documentation habits.

Responsibilities

• Create DC layouts and plan servers onto racks; coordinate mountings.
• Develop capacity management strategies for large-scale data centers.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Program Management, Ops, and DC Development teams.
• Plan and execute server delivery projects, including OS installations.
• Maintain daily server operations, troubleshooting, repair, and break-fix.
• Maintain asset and rack data in internal systems; incident tracking via ticketing.
• Work with remote vendors to resolve hardware batch failures and problems.
• On-call duty to address business-side issues; monitor asset status.
• Erase drives or configurations for retiring/relocating servers.
• Retrofit tools by updating/writing scripts; manage RMAs.
• Oversee server network troubleshooting and lifecycle management.
