Job summary

EnviroDynamics Solutions Pte Ltd is seeking a technically skilled server administrator to plan rack layouts, install and maintain UNIX/Linux systems, and manage full server lifecycles. You will troubleshoot hardware, handle on-call duties, and collaborate with remote teams to address batch failures while ensuring asset tracking and ticketing are up to date.

The role requires a degree in CS/EE or related field, strong networking, and familiarity with IPMI; weekend availability may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in CS, EE, or related field.
• Knowledge of how server technologies and interconnections work.
• Ability to read and execute basic Shell/Bash scripts.
• Proficiency in Linux with hardware issue diagnosis.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnets, MAC addresses.
• Familiarity with IPMI or similar remote management.
• Willingness to work on weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize server placement in racks including mounting.
• Install and maintain UNIX/Linux servers and OS reinstallation.
• Troubleshoot system issues and perform break-fix hardware tasks.
• Manage asset tracking, rack layout, and ticketing data.
• Collaborate with remote teams/vendors for hardware issues.
• Participate in on-call duties to resolve operational issues.
• Monitor online assets and diagnose potential problems.
• Handle server decommissioning, drive wiping, and reconfig.
• Provide feedback on tools and systems for testing.
• Oversee RMA submissions and media destruction tracking.
• Support full server lifecycle from deployment to retirement.
