Job summary

Nxera, based in Singapore, is seeking a Data Centre Mechanical Subject Matter Expert to lead design, evaluation and implementation of mechanical systems for new and existing data centers, with a focus on ACMV, chilled water, and fire protection.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform engineering calculations, sizing equipment, review design submissions, and support commissioning and site installation across Asia Pacific, including Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Mechanical PE licensure preferred.
• 10+ years of experience designing and maintaining data center mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of large-scale mission critical facility mechanical infrastructure.
• Experience with fast-track design/build projects or major upgrades.
• Renewable energy integration knowledge.
• Strong safety mindset and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mechanical systems for data centers, including ACMV, hydraulics and fire protection.
• Perform cooling and hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing and procurement.
• Coordinate with consultants and on-site teams through concept to IFC and commissioning.
• Review design specifications, drawings, and standards; maintain lessons learned.
• Liaise with stakeholders to translate technical requirements into executable plans.
