Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer to lead day-to-day operations of critical data center infrastructure in Singapore.

You will manage electrical, mechanical, and fire/life-safety systems, coordinate with diverse teams, and oversee vendor activities to ensure uptime and efficiency. The role requires hands-on operational excellence, risk management, and strong communication skills to partner with DCEO, IT, Networking, Logistics, Safety and Security teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical data center systems including DRUPS, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS, ATS/STS, PDUs, Chillers, AHUs and CRAC units.

Responsibilities

• Act as the site primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders involving communication and relationship management.
• Meet daily hours of operations, on-call requirements and rotations.
• Manage minor and major planned and unplanned site works for critical infrastructure, with risk assessment and approvals per SLA.
• On-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring work meets established practices and local regulations.
• Generate change management requests and incident tickets for DCEO activities.
• Coordinate with IT, Networking, Logistics, Safety, Security, and other leaders to optimize plant safety, performance, and reliability.
