Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Data Centre Facilities Specialist in Singapore to monitor and maintain critical data centre infrastructure, including power, HVAC, fire suppression, and cabling.

You will coordinate with the landlord for preventive maintenance and respond to alarms with prompt resolution. The role requires 3+ years in data centre facility management, strong ITIL-based incident/change management knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data centre facility management.
• Experience working in a high-pressured environment with 24x7 on-call responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and fire suppression systems in data centres.
• Knowledge of structured cabling systems and rack-and-stack is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of incident, problem and change management based on ITIL best practices.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in data centre operations within financial institutions.

Job description

Monitor and maintain critical data centre infrastructure, including power distribution systems (UPS, generators), HVAC systems, fire suppression systems and structured cabling systems.

Managed DC/Building landlord ensuring preventive maintenance on data centre infrastructure and systems are performed promptly.

Respond to alarms, troubleshoot issues, and ensure prompt resolution.

Liaise with DC/Building landlord to coordinate maintenance schedules, address building infrastructure issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Support off-office hours activities, including responding to emergency alarms, performing on-call duties, and coordinating with vendors for emergency repairs.

Ensure strict adherence to data centre physical security procedures.

Follow documented incident response procedures, track incidents to closure, and communicate with stakeholders.

Generate reports to management, including monthly performance reports, incident summaries, root cause analyses, and status reports on ongoing projects.
