Job summary

Rolls-Royce Solutions Asia Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer (Application Engineer) to lead mechanical and electrical solution engineering for major Data Center Projects across APAC.

The role blends hands-on design with integration, testing and commissioning, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and customers. Candidate will work on electrical power systems, control systems and automation interfaces, supporting procurement, technical documentation, and site delivery.

Qualifications

• University / college studies in Mechanical or Electrical or Mechatronics engineering.
• Strong experience in diesel engine/generator industry.
• Proven track record with electro-mechanical solutions and data centers a plus.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel onsite as needed.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver electrical and mechanical system requirements for walk-in genset enclosures aligned with project specifications.
• Deliver end-to-end design solutions, including electrical/automation and mechanical designs, with detailed drawings and documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations (electrical load flow/short circuit and mechanical sizing/thermal/airflow).
• Review and approve technical documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, datasheets).
• Support procurement and supplier coordination to align equipment scope and proposals.
• Provide technical support during project execution, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Travel overseas for site work when required.
