Gentco Logistics invites a Data Analyst (PowerBI) to join our Global IT team in Singapore. You will manage PowerBI resources, build dashboards and semantic models, and partner with operations, finance, and commercial teams to drive data-driven decisions.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in SQL data modeling and PowerBI, with strong English communication. Mandarin is a plus. Proactive ownership and timely delivery are essential in this dynamic role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years SQL experience, including data modeling and transformation.
• 2+ years PowerBI experience.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin is an added advantage to liaise with Chinese-speaking counterparts.
• Able to translate business needs into data solutions.
• Highly motivated with proactive project ownership and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Respond to user requests to modify PowerBI resources (~10 workspaces, ~30 semantic models, ~100 dashboards); create new PowerBI resources when necessary.
• Use SQL and statistical techniques to analyze historical datasets, uncover trends, detect anomalies, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Design and develop PowerBI dashboards, semantic models, and KPI definitions for global business needs across operations, finance, and commercial functions.
• Contribute to the continual improvement of internal data models; build and maintain SQL data models and transformations on top of the data marts provided by data engineering (Azure Databricks).
• Regularly audit data quality across PowerBI resources and underlying data models.
• Maintain strong documentation practices and encourage knowledge sharing across teams.

The Opportunity

The Data Analyst (PowerBI) position is a part of the Global IT Department, which is directly overseen by the Group’s CIO. Our team currently comprises over 40 IT, software, and data professionals primarily based in Shanghai and Moerdijk (the Netherlands). With our IT presence in Singapore rapidly expanding, we are excited to invite you to join our team!

Requirements:

• Professional fluency in English
• Professional fluency in Mandarin is an added advantage to effectively liaise with Chinese-speaking counterparts.
• Highly motivated, with a proactive approach to project ownership and accountability for outcomes and timelines

Desirable Qualities:
