Job summary

MECADO TRADING PTE LTD in Singapore (Downtown Core) is seeking a Data Analyst to transform raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions within our ICT division. You will collect, clean, and analyse large datasets, develop data models, and create visualisations with Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven 2–3 years' experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R.
• Strong experience with BI and data visualisation platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Analytics.
• Excellent understanding of statistical analysis, data modelling, and database management.
• Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and perform complex data manipulation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically about business challenges.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.

About the role

We are seeking a talented Data Analyst to join MECADO TRADING PTE LTD in a full-time capacity. Based in the Downtown Core Central Region, this role offers an excellent opportunity to work within our dynamic Information & Communication Technology division. As a Data Analyst, you will be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our organisation's growth by analysing complex datasets, identifying trends, and providing data-driven recommendations to stakeholders across the company.

What you'll be doing

• Collecting, processing, and cleaning large datasets from multiple sources to ensure data accuracy and consistency

• Analysing data using statistical methods and business intelligence tools to uncover patterns, trends, and insights

• Creating visualisations and reports that communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Developing and maintaining databases and data models to support business operations and strategic planning

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions

• Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing regular performance reviews and dashboards

• Identifying opportunities for process improvement through data analysis and recommending solutions

• Ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and company policies

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role for at least 2–3 years

• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar

• Strong experience with business intelligence and data visualisation platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Analytics

• Excellent understanding of statistical analysis, data modelling, and database management

• Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and perform complex data manipulation

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about business challenges

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences

• Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms or data warehousing solutions is advantageous

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaborative working environments
