Job summary

BGC Group Pte Ltd is seeking a Junior to Mid Level Data Analyst to transform enterprise data into actionable insights and build impactful dashboards. You will work across multiple business functions to deliver analytics, reporting, and data products in a modern data-driven environment.

The role focuses on Power BI dashboard development, Snowflake data exploration, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely insights and governance. Contract position with 12-month duration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Typically 3 to 5 years of experience in Data Analytics, BI, Reporting, or Performance Analytics.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise datasets and dashboard development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive meaningful insights from data.

Responsibilities

• Analytics & Insight Generation: analyse large datasets to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and key drivers.
• Dashboard Development & Reporting: design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and KPI scorecards.
• Snowflake & Data Product Support: query and analyze datasets in Snowflake; validate data sources and definitions.
• Data Quality, Governance & Collaboration: identify data quality issues and support governance processes.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics & Insight Generation

• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, risks, opportunities, and key business performance drivers.
• Conduct root-cause analysis to support operational improvements and management decision-making.
• Translate analytical findings into clear insights, practical recommendations, and business-focused narratives.
• Support ad-hoc data requests from business leaders and stakeholders while helping to convert recurring requests into reusable dashboards and data products.

Dashboard Development & Reporting

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards, and management reports aligned with business priorities.
• Develop intuitive and visually engaging dashboards suitable for both executive and operational users.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, metrics, filters, drill-through functionality, and usage scenarios.
• Support self-service analytics by creating reusable report templates, standardised measures, and user documentation.

Snowflake & Data Product Support

• Query, explore, and analyse curated datasets within Snowflake for reporting and analytical purposes.
• Work closely with Data Engineers to validate data sources, transformation logic, and certified datasets.
• Support the development of business-focused data products by defining KPI requirements and analytical use cases.
• Document metric definitions, analytical assumptions, and data limitations to ensure transparency and trust in reporting outputs.

Data Quality, Governance & Collaboration

• Identify, investigate, and escalation data quality issues discovered during analysis and dashboard development activities.
• Collaborate with Data Stewards and governance teams to ensure reports align with approved business definitions and data standards.
• Support metadata management, data lineage documentation, and dashboard governance processes.
• Contribute to data literacy initiatives, user training sessions, and stakeholder adoption programmes.

Who We\'re Looking For

• Bachelor\'s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Typically 3 to 5 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, or Performance Analytics. Highly qualified fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Hands-on experience working with enterprise datasets and dashboard development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive meaningful insights from data.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in public sector, research, corporate services, or large enterprise environments is advantageous.
