Job summary

NETS is offering a BCS cybersecurity internship where you will work on real-world cybersecurity projects and operations. You will be mentored and rotated through key functions within the BCS Security Division to gain hands-on experience.

You will learn to develop security policies, conduct risk assessments, monitor metrics, and support audits and regulatory inspections, while collaborating with system owners to obtain artefacts and deliver governance updates.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Security fields.
• Hands-on experience with MS Office Suite.
• Prior security governance or cybersecurity internship experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist to develop and maintain cyber security policies, standards and procedures.
• Assist to conduct cyber risks and assessments.
• Assist with cybersecurity metrics monitoring and reporting.
• Track risk findings, remediation plans, and risk acceptance records.
• Assist in monitoring compliance with internal security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Support evidence collection and review for audits, assessments, and regulatory inspections.
• Partake in control testing and compliance reviews.
• Coordinate with system owners and stakeholders to obtain audit artefacts and supporting documentation.
• Track audit findings and remediation progress.
• Assist in preparing management responses and closure evidence for audit observations.
• Prepare governance reports, management presentations, and status updates.
• Maintain trackers for security initiatives, audits, and remediation activities.
