Job summary

NETS is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Intern to join the Security Architecture & Engineering function under the CISO. The role offers hands-on experience protecting enterprise systems, networks, and data while engaging with key stakeholders responsible for security controls.

Responsibilities include documenting architecture decisions, developing Excel dashboards for cybersecurity KPIs, researching threats, and collaborating with senior engineers on secure architectures.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, network protocols, and operating systems.
• Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, and SIEM platforms is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF statements).
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Document architecture decisions, security design patterns, and engineering standards.
• Develop and maintain Excel dashboards to track cybersecurity KPIs.
• Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with senior cybersecurity engineers to design and implement secure architectures.
• Assist in evaluating new security technologies and prepare comparative analyses for engineering leadership.
• Shadow senior engineers during security assessments and architecture planning sessions.
• Contribute to automation by writing scripts or using tools to streamline security operations.
• Create technical documentation, diagrams, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
