Job summary

NETS is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Intern to join the Security Architecture & Engineering function under the CISO office in Singapore. The role offers hands-on exposure to protecting enterprise systems and data, with responsibilities spanning health checks, incident management, and KPI dashboards.

You will shadow senior engineers, contribute to documentation, and assist with automation and day-to-day security operations across SIEM, XDR and related tools.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/SE or related field.
• Experience using data analysis and visualization tools for reporting and insights.
• Exposure to cybersecurity tools is an advantage; prior cybersecurity/IT project experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic health checks on deployed security tools and coordinate remediation with internal teams and vendors.
• Monitor and manage service requests and incident tickets within defined SLA timelines.
• Respond to stakeholder requests from the shared security mailbox and coordinate with domain SMEs.
• Develop and maintain Excel dashboards to track cybersecurity KPIs such as incidents, patch compliance and vulnerability status.
• Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with security SMEs to update operational documentation and KOPs.
• Provide Level 1 operational support for security solutions (SIEM, XDR, VM, DLP, PAM, IAM, WAF, IDS/IPS).
• Shadow senior engineers during security assessments and architecture sessions.
• Contribute to automation efforts by scripting to streamline security operations.
• Assist in creating technical documentation, diagrams, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
