Job summary

Cursor is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to embed with customer engineering teams and deliver Cursor-powered workflows that materially improve how software is built. You’ll uncover bottlenecks, design practical solutions, and own them from discovery to post-production support.

This is a real-world role, not a demo—expect to ship, iterate, and optimize in production. You will collaborate with senior leaders, lead discovery conversations, and take ownership of end-to-end delivery across

Qualifications

• Experience building AI-powered workflows in production.
• Strong Python and TS/JS programming skills.
• Ability to own complex projects from discovery to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery with customer engineers to identify bottlenecks and define success metrics.
• Design and build Cursor-powered workflows for large-scale refactors, migrations, and review loops.
• Ship a fast first version in days and harden it with rollout plans, monitoring, and iteration based on real usage.
• Own production quality: tracing, metrics, latency, and failure mode analysis.
• Collaborate with Staff+/Platform/Eng leaders and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
• Turn what you build into reusable patterns and push improvements back into Cursor.
