Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking an engineer who embeds with customer teams to own outcomes and deliver production-grade systems that continue to run after you depart. You’ll stand up architectures, wire into authentication, data, and tools, and harden them through evals until users rely on them.

Expect to ship agent-powered workflows, migrations, PR review loops, or incident-to-fix flows within customer environments, backed by tests, reviews, and rollout plans.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, ML engineering, or data science.
• Proficient in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Owns customer outcomes and ships end-to-end solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery with customers: understand their codebases and workflows, define success metrics.
• Design and ship production agents, AI apps, and coding-agent workflows on Grok and models.
• Deploy first version quickly and harden it with rollout, monitoring, and iteration from real usage.
• Own production quality: tracing, evals, debugging model or delivery failures, latency and cost tradeoffs.
• Build systems around the model (tools, MCP servers, retrieval, rules, CI gates, evals) and integrate with customer systems.
• Measure outcomes (revenue, cost, hours saved, error rate, cycle time, defects).
• Collaborate with Staff+, platform, and domain leaders; communicate tradeoffs and results.
• Enable customer teams to run what you built and reuse learnings for SpaceXSI products.
