Job summary

KLA is seeking an Applications Engagement Engineer to join our global CAPRES team, supporting customers with a primary focus on Singapore and across Asia. You will develop and deploy CAPRES metrology applications and analyze electrical and magnetic measurement data to demonstrate value in R&D and high-volume manufacturing.

Ideal candidates hold 5+ years in semiconductor process engineering, strong data analytics (Python/MATLAB/JMP), and enjoy close collaboration with regional teams and customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant semiconductor experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical and magnetic measurements and data analysis.
• Experience with data analysis tools (Python, MATLAB, JMP).
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement CAPRES metrology applications for sheet resistance, CIPT, MOKE and FMR.
• Define characterization plans and analyze electrical/magnetic data for customer evaluations.
• Develop methodologies, test strategies, and documentation in reports and notes.
• Support on-site engagements in Singapore/SEA, including tool evaluations and process integration.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis at customer sites.
• Capture requirements and translate into actionable improvements for CAPRES HQ.
• Collaborate with regional teams and transfer knowledge within the group.
