Job summary

NEA National Environment Agency in Singapore seeks an operations-focused, service-oriented leader to head Mandai Crematorium operations within MAOD. Qualifications

• At least 3 years of working experience in engineering, operations management, service management or a related field.
• Strong leadership, organisational and administrative skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff.
• Meticulous and attentive to operational details in a sensitive service environment.
• Good communication and writing skills, with tactful and patient handling of difficult situations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to multi-task.
• Willingness to work in an after-death care environment.
• Able and willing to work beyond regular hours including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and deploy operations officers effectively, ensuring SOP adherence and on-the-job guidance.
• Lead and manage a team of officers and outsourced contractors for ceremonies and cremation processes.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance, overhaul and repair works for cremators and equipment.
• Manage contract administration, work orders, verification of completed works and payments.
• Handle public feedback, appeals and enquiries promptly and sensitively, with reports or recommendations.
• Support operations across Mandai Crematorium, Columbarium, Yishun Columbarium and Kranji State Cemetery, including rostered weekends and holidays.
