Job summary

Monee SG Private Limited, a digital payments and financial services provider, seeks a credit risk professional to design end-to-end risk strategies for SME lending and to monitor portfolio performance. You will work with data science, product, business and operations to improve underwriting rules and decision processes.

The role emphasizes delivering insights to senior management, driving policy enhancements, and implementing scoring systems from analysis to deployment across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related fields.
• 2+ years of credit risk experience in digital/direct lending, preferably SME lending.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

Requirements:

• Develop end-to-end credit risk strategies for SME lending products, covering underwriting, credit policy, risk-based pricing, loan size, and tenure.
• Monitor portfolio performance including delinquency, roll rates, and risk indicators; propose risk mitigation and policy adjustments.
• Perform portfolio risk and profitability analysis to refine credit policies and optimize risk-return
• Collaborate with data science, product, business, and operations teams to improve and implement scorecards, underwriting rules, and decision processes.
• Provide risk insights, analysis, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
• Drive credit risk policy enhancements from data analysis to system implementation; design underwriting system flows and participate in decision engine set up and testing.

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related fields.
• 2+ years of credit risk experience in digital/direct lending, preferably with exposure to SME lending.
• Self-motivated and detailed oriented team player who is able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with an ownership mindset.
• Proficient in Excel and SQL; Python skills are a plus.
• Strong quantitative analytical skills with keen attention to detail. Experience building automated risk dashboards is preferred
• Experience in fintech / banking / lending and hands-on experience conducting portfolio monitoring, vintage analysis, and risk segmentation is highly preferred.
