Job summary

Monee in Singapore is seeking a credit risk professional to propose and implement regional credit strategies and to conduct stress testing and ICAAP exercises. You will provide governance oversight across SEA markets and collaborate with modeling to develop risk tools such as decision scorecards.

The role requires strong knowledge of credit risk, banking products, and data analytics, with experience across portfolios and policy refinement to support profitable growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Financial Engineering).
  • Minimum 3 years working experience on credit risk domain and relevant hands-on banking or fin-tech experience, handling credit risk related portfolios.
  • Professional qualifications such as CA/ACCA/CPA/FRM would be advantageous.
  • Expert knowledge on risk areas, banking products, services and systems.
  • Problem-solving, positive and constructive attitude is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Propose and implement credit strategy for regional products.
  • Conduct and execute stress testing and ICAAP exercises.
  • Provide governance oversight across SEA markets.
  • Propose and implement obligor level credit conditional monitoring and early warning triggers for regional products.
  • Conduct portfolio monitoring and analysis on concentration risk and asset quality.
  • Prepare and analyse regional level risk reports such as portfolio performance, industry exposure, vendor performance and historical customer trends.
  • Coordinate with modeling team on risk tools development including decision scorecards.
  • Support conceptualisation development for new credit products suitable for regional products.
  • Track and monitor the full credit cycle performance and risk appetite metrics.
  • Evaluate and influence to balanced business growth in the form of policy refinement and credit testing.
  • Support countries through analysis to formulate policy and portfolio management to improve profitability.
  • Support country with portfolio deep-dive analyses and provide insights with recommendations on policy changes to improve portfolio quality.
  • Support the development and growth into new strategic segments e.g. mass market.
  • Collaborate closely with collection team and feedback on collections policies or strategies that will help in reducing delinquency roll rates and losses

Requirements

  • Proficiency in data analytics/science tools such as VBA, SAS, SQL etc. Experience with Big Data and AI/ML algorithms is preferrable.
  • System knowledge at implementing strategies / models is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
