Job Description

The Credit Review (Retail) function is responsible for performing comprehensive credit assessments and documentation verification for retail mortgage applications. This includes evaluating borrower‑provided information, publicly available data, and the lender’s assessment of the borrower’s credit requirements and repayment capacity. Reviews are conducted in alignment with regulatory guidelines and the Bank’s internal credit policies to ensure sound credit decisioning and risk management.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, analyze and make recommendations for mortgage applications (including new, restructures and others).
  • Liaise with stakeholders (including Sales staff, mortgage relations staff, Credit Operation staff) for documentation and rectifications.
  • Perform compliance and documentation checks on mortgage applications.
  • Review property valuation reports.
  • Conduct credit evaluation and follow up on post‑disbursement issues, and other miscellaneous requests.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Minimum 1–2 years of banking experience (preferably in mortgages).
  • Strong aptitude in software programmes and proficiency in Microsoft programmes, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledgeable in the real estate industry, current affairs and economic outlook.
  • Conversant with real estate and mortgage loan regulations.
  • Good credit analytical skills, meticulous and attentive to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good attitude and interpersonal skills, able to interact professionally and manage objections effectively.
  • Able to work independently, fast learner and able to work as a team.
Additional Requirements
