Credit Officer (1 Year Contract)

Job Overview

Our client, a global private banking institution, is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Junior Officer. The successful candidate will support mortgage loan disbursement and related operational activities, including loan booking, loan disbursement and loan repricing. This role is ideal for candidates who are meticulous, comfortable with administrative and data-entry tasks, and able to work accurately in a fast-paced banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Credit Request Processing: Review incoming credit requests to ensure completeness and accuracy, and accurately record credit facility details in the bank’s system.
• Customer Screening: Conduct checks against internal caution lists and screening requirements for customers and related parties.
• Loan Documentation: Review mortgage-related applications and supporting documents to ensure all required information is complete and accurate.
• Loan Operations Support: Assist with loan booking, loan disbursement and loan repricing activities, including data entry and record creation.
• Liaison and Follow-Up: Coordinate with the Sales team and law firms to clarify documentation queries and ensure timely follow-up.
• Document Management: Prepare, organise, scan and upload documents into the bank’s system for proper record-keeping.
• Administrative Support: Assist with Cisco warehousing and provide support for other administrative and operational duties as required.

Requirements

• Minimum basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, SUM and basic functions such as copying and pasting data.
• Good typing speed with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage routine administrative tasks efficiently.
• A responsible and proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to different operational duties.
• Open to candidates from administrative, banking operations or loan processing backgrounds.
• Mature candidates should demonstrate a stable employment history and a genuine commitment to the role.
• Comfortable working fully on-site.
