Job summary
Cosmos Recruit Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Interior Designer to develop interior design concepts for residential and commercial projects, and to coordinate drawing sets, mood boards and presentations. You will prepare space plans, layouts and details using AutoCAD, ensuring clear translation of client requirements into technical drawings.
The role welcomes fresh graduates with a strong portfolio as well as designers with 1–3 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Spatial Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or related discipline.
- Fresh graduates with a strong portfolio are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with 1 to 3 years of relevant interior design or design-and-build experience will have an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Able to prepare clear technical drawings, including plans, elevations and basic detailing.
- Knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D rendering software or material sourcing will be an advantage.
- Applicants are encouraged to submit a design portfolio together with their application.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing interior design concepts for residential and commercial projects.
- Prepare space plans, furniture layouts, floor plans, elevations, sections and detailed drawings using AutoCAD.
- Translate design concepts and client requirements into clear and accurate technical drawing sets.
- Assist with mood boards, material palettes, finishes selections and design presentations.
- Revise drawings and design information based on project requirements, design development and feedback.
- Support site measurements, site visits and design documentation where required.
- Coordinate with senior designers, contractors, suppliers and project teams on drawing and design-related matters.
- Maintain proper filing and organisation of drawings, materials, project documents and design references.
- Keep updated on current interior design trends, materials, finishes and spatial planning ideas.
