Job summary

Tyson Jay Management Pte Ltd in Singapore is hiring a kitchen team member to prepare salads, canapés, and light bites according to recipes, ensuring mise en place and quality.

You will work in a small café-style kitchen with shifts of 9am–6pm or 12pm–9pm, 5 days per week; weekend/public holiday coverage may apply.

Requirements include at least 1 year in kitchen or food prep, experience in cafés/restaurants, strong plating skills, and ability to work in a small team with rotating duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in kitchen or food preparation.
• Experience in cafés, restaurants or fine dining preferred.
• Strong plating skills with attention to presentation.
• Comfortable working in a small kitchen team and rotating tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare salads, canapés, light bites and other menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Carry out daily food preparation and mise en place to ensure the kitchen is ready for service
• Plate and present dishes carefully while maintaining consistent quality and presentation
• Receive, check and store ingredients appropriately while monitoring freshness and expiry dates
• Assist with stock monitoring, inventory management and replenishment of ingredients
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen and preparation area
• Work closely with the Head Chef and other team members to support smooth daily café operations
• Follow food safety, hygiene and company procedures at all times
