Tyson Jay Management Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our cafe team in Singapore. You will prepare salads, canapés, and other items, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation while maintaining efficient mise en place.

This role requires at least 1 year of kitchen experience, ability to work weekends, and a flexible shift pattern. We offer a 5-day work week, two shift options, 14 days annual leave, and AWS with base up to SGD 3,200.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of kitchen or food preparation experience.
• Experience in cafés, restaurants or fine dining preferred.
• Strong plating and presentation skills.
• Able to work in a small kitchen team without a fixed station.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays per roster.

Responsibilities

• Prepare salads, canapés, light bites and other menu items per recipes.
• Carry out daily food preparation and mise en place for service readiness.
• Plate and present dishes with consistent quality and presentation.
• Receive, check and store ingredients; monitor freshness and expiry dates.
• Assist with stock monitoring and replenishment of ingredients.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen and prep area.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and team to support cafe operations.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and company procedures.
