Overview

The Film & Media Department is dedicated to developing and delivering industry-oriented learning programmes that prepare students for successful careers in the rapidly evolving media landscape. Our curriculum stays current and flexible, designed with input from industry and academic experts, ensuring our classroom reflects real-world requirements. We are seeking a forward-thinking Course Manager who will drive the transformation of our film and media curriculum to meet the dynamic needs of the industry. The Course Manager will report to the Principal and play a pivotal role in setting the strategic direction of the Film & Media Department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Leadership & Academic Excellence: Manage and chart the strategic direction for the Film and Media Department, developing practice-based programmes that align with industry trends and technological advances while ensuring academic quality and innovation.
  2. Financial & Operational Management: Oversee the financial performance of the department through budget planning, cost management, and revenue growth initiatives to achieve profitability while ensuring smooth course delivery and quality learning experiences.
  3. Curriculum Development & Industry Partnerships: Design cutting-edge curriculum incorporating emerging technologies and industry practices, while fostering partnerships with media companies, production houses, and content creators to enhance student learning opportunities.
  4. Teaching & Course Delivery: Prepare and deliver lessons for diploma and professional development courses, monitor course alignment with objectives, and drive implementation of innovative learning methods and technology integration.
  5. Staff Management & Development: Monitor performance and development of academic staff, assist in recruitment and selection, and implement professional development programmes to enhance capability across the department.
  6. Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate with the broader network to create synergies between education and professional practice.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the film and media industry.

Requirements
