Job summary

Frencken Singapore seeks a DFM/Manufacturing Engineer to coordinate technical discussions between sales, customers and internal teams. You will review drawings for manufacturability and cost, propose practical manufacturing solutions and support cost estimation processes.

Requirements include 3–5 years in semiconductor equipment or precision engineering, proficiency in SolidWorks/SolidCAM, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Advanced Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years in semiconductor equipment or precision engineering industry.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and SolidCAM or equivalent CAD/CAM software.
• Able to interpret complex mechanical drawings, GD&T, specs and manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical and DFM discussions between sales, customers and internal engineering teams.
• Review customer drawings/specifications and establish manufacturing feasibility and costing requirements.
• Recommend DFM solutions, manufacturing methods and cost optimisation opportunities.
• Establish technical assumptions, process requirements and costing basis for quotation.
• Escalate technical, commercial and manufacturing risks to relevant stakeholders.
• Lead DFM discussions with customers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and propose practical manufacturing solutions.
• Develop and illustrate manufacturing concepts and process flows to support DFM and cost estimation.
• Prepare detailed and justifiable cost estimates covering full product development and manufacturing requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and engineering activities with relevant stakeholders.

• Review customer drawings, specifications and RFQ requirements to assess manufacturability and technical feasibility.
• Lead DFM discussions with customers and relevant stakeholders to clarify requirements and propose practical manufacturing solutions.
• Develop and illustrate manufacturing concepts and process flows to support DFM and cost estimation.
• Prepare detailed and justifiable cost estimates covering the full spectrum of product development and manufacturing requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and engineering activities and liaison with relevant stakeholders.

Requirement

• Min. Diploma / Degree in Advanced Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor equipment / precision engineering industry.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and SolidCAM, or equivalent CAD/CAM software.
• Able to interpret complex mechanical drawings, GD&T, specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, with strong customer and cross-functional communication skills.
• CWI is a plus.
