Job summary

AKRIBIS SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. is seeking a cost estimation and sourcing specialist to drive should-cost analyses and supplier negotiations within a contract manufacturing environment in Singapore.

You will benchmark pricing, analyze quotes, and develop detailed cost models covering materials, labor, overhead, and processes. 3+ years in costing or procurement is preferred, with strong Excel and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years costing, procurement or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with supplier sourcing and RFQ processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct should-cost analyses to benchmark pricing.
• Analyze supplier quotes and develop cost models.
• Support quotes for Sales and Business Units with cost data.
• Maintain records of estimates, quotes, and price trends.

Job description

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Cost Estimation & Analysis

• Conduct "should-cost" analysis to benchmark fair pricing
• Analyze and compare supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing
• Develop detailed cost models for products based on materials, labor, overhead, and manufacturing processes
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through design improvements, material substitutions, and process optimizations

Sourcing & Supplier Negotiation

• Source and evaluate suppliers for materials, components, and services
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and payment terms to achieve cost efficiency
• Request and analyze quotes from suppliers, ensuring compliance with technical and commercial requirements

Support & Documentation

• Monitor actual costs vs estimated costs and investigate variances
• Support Sales and Business Unit teams in preparing competitive quotations
• Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, supplier quotes, and price trends

SKILLSET(S) REQUIREMENT

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Experience in supplier sourcing, RFQ processes, and negotiation
• Proficiency in cost estimation tools, Excel, and ERP systems (e.g., BC, SAP) 3+ years of experience in costing, procurement, or manufacturing engineering
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials (metals, granites, composites, etc.)
