Job summary

Staffking Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced finance professional to monitor and control operating costs across multiple cost centers in Singapore. You will analyze budgets, track variances and prepare concise cost reports for management, working closely with operations.

The role requires 5-8 years in cost control or related finance disciplines, with strong skills in budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting. Office hours, Mon-Fri, in the East region as part of a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in operational cost control or controlling.
• Strong experience in cost analysis, budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze operating costs across manpower, maintenance, materials and other expenses.
• Track actual costs against budget and standard costs, investigate variances.
• Analyze costs by business unit, cost item, project and status.
• Review purchase orders, invoices and commitments with operational teams.
• Monitor variation orders, project charges and cost recharges.
• Prepare clear financial reports, cost analyses and KPIs.
• Collaborate with operations to improve cost performance.
• Support budget preparation, forecasting and cost-optimization activities.
• Coordinate with Accounting on monthly closings, accruals and provisions.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of cost reporting and identify savings opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze operating costs, including manpower, maintenance, materials, fuel, insurance, consumables and other business expenses.

• Track and analyze actual costs against budget and standard costs, identifying and investigating variances.

• Monitor costs at a detailed level by business unit, cost item, project and status.

• Review purchase orders, invoices and outstanding commitments with relevant operational teams.

• Monitor and track variation orders, project charges and cost recharges.

• Prepare clear and concise financial reports, cost analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Work closely with operational and management teams to monitor and improve cost performance.

• Support budget preparation, forecasting and cost optimization activities.

• Work with the Accounting team on monthly closing, accruals and provisions.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial and cost reporting.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

• Improve cost control tools, reporting processes and standard cost accuracy.

• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.

• 5-8 years of experience in operational cost control or controlling.

• Strong experience in cost analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
