Job summary

5G-Starlink Pte. in Singapore seeks an Assistant Manager (Accounting/Costing) to lead cost accounting activities and partner with SCM, Production, Sales and Inventory teams.

You will analyse cost variances, ensure accurate production costs, prepare journals, reconcile sub-ledgers to G/L, and support month/quarter/year-end closes, budgeting and transfer pricing reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or CPA/ACCA/CA graduate.
• Min 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial & management accounting in FMCG with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially spreadsheets.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse the variance of actual cost vs budgeted cost.
• Ensure monthly production costs are accurately accounted, and production batch closed.
• Review monthly overhead cost allocation basis and run the cost allocation program in EBS.
• Prepare Journals on costing and inventory at month end.
• Monthly reconciliation of sub-ledger to G/L in quantity and values.
• Assist finance team in closing and reporting during month/quarter/year-end.
• Compute and prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly cost reports (COS).
• Prepare cost reports by raw material, packaging material and finished product for SCM.
• Lead annual physical stock take and cycle counts with reconciliation.
• Review new product costing sheets for transfer pricing and profitability.
• Coordinate and deliver quarterly reviews and annual audits.

Job Role Summary:

Thisposition is responsible for all aspects of cost accounting, drivingexcellence in business partnering with SCM, Production, Sales, andInventory control teams.

• To analyse the variance of actual cost vs budgeted cost.
• To ensure the monthly production costs are accurately accounted, and the production batch closed.
• Toreview monthly overhead cost allocation basis and run the costallocation program in EBS to ensure cost is correctly allocated.
• Prepare Journals on costing and inventory related at month end.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of sub-ledger to G/L in both quantity and values.
• Assist finance team in closing and reporting activities during month/quarter/year-end.
• Calculateand prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly reports on actual, budgetedand forecasted cost, production volume, and production overhead (COS).
• Prepare cost reports by raw material, packaging material and finished product for the SCM department.
• Proactive analysis of variances and communication of issues and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
• Leadthe annual physical stock take and cycle counts, including preparation,cut-offs, audit of counts and reconciliation, and resolve anydiscrepancy with SCM.
• Review new product costing sheets preparedby the RND Team for accuracy and calculation of transfer pricing andprofitability, to be submitted to the Marketing Team
• Computation of cost statement for export sales.
• Assist with the coordination and deliverables for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Item code master maintenance in the EBS includes creating new item codes.
• Prepare yearly budget for COGS.
• Manage/Reviewthe intercompany transfer pricing within the PK group from time totime, including the internal price list maintenance.
• Prepare & maintain an updated detailed process flow chart/narration for the OPM cost process.
• Regularlyreview the efficiency & effectiveness of the cost accountingprocess and make recommendations to HOD for improvement.

Other Finance Functions:

• Manage and oversee the team to ensure smooth Accounting/Finance Operations.
• Drive process and system improvement
• Attend projects related to costing and other ad hoc duties assigned by superior/management
• Administrating the SharePoint of the Finance Department.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or CPA or ACCA/CIMA/CA graduate
• Min3-5 years of relevant experience in financial & managementaccounting particularly in an FMCG industry with at least 2 years in asupervisory position. Capable of working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Fast learner, self-starter and able to work independently.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially with spreadsheets.
• Solid costing background Oracle knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
